This is a Caravan and Camping Club hide-away site, a rather apt description as it is tucked away in mid-Wales just north of the Brecon Beacons. The final approach road is narrow but we didn’t experience any difficulty, in fact I don’t recollect meeting any other traffic during our stay.
We picked a rather wet and cold week to stay on this site, hence the rather dull photographs, but enjoyed our visit nevertheless.
Water and wast disposal facilities are grouped at one point, you may be able to make them out on the left-hand side in the above picture. There are no toilet or washing facilities provided on this site, which is adult only.
The five hard pitches are very well spaced across a gently lawned sloping site at the bottom of which is a large pond. An adjoining field has a system of mown paths and is ideal for exercising pets, our dog certainly enjoyed it.
There is a complete absence of terrestrial television signal but a WiFi system is available.
Cynghordy station can be found a few minutes walk away, very convenient for those wishing to travel further afield; it is a request stop.
It is a popular site, excellent value, and a good base from which to tour the area, so a phone call or email to Eileen is advisable to see if she can fit you in.
